School – Public Library Partnership – Great idea!

Chris Bell recently shared this idea:

“Just wanted to let you know, this year I am opening a new high school in Douglas County School District.  The school is Castle View High School and we just completed our first Registration Day.  We registered over 500 new students and every student recieved a brand new Castle View High School Student ID and on the back of the card was the Douglas County Public Library Card.  This was achieved in a joint effort of Librarians at the Philip S. Miller Library in Castle Rock, Colorado and the Castle View High School Library and Douglas County School District District Librarians.  That day the Philip S. Miller Library processed materials to students using the new cards.”

  1. Wow! That is an amazing idea! I will share with the CAL Marketing Committee!

  2. CASL is excited that this School – Public Library Partnership is now an interest group. We are looking forward to expanding and implementing our ideas of ways to work together.
