Arts Education in Colorado: Guidebook and Resources

A comprehensive guide for high quality, arts education programming to meet the innovative demands of a 21st century workforce

Thanks to funding and contributions by many sponsors, contributors and the CDE Dropout Prevention and Student Engagement Unit, an Arts Guidebook has been created in an effort to connect educational needs with visual and performing arts activities in communities across the state.
This guidebook had its origins in a desire to provide Colorado schools and districts with research-based information and ideas on ways to improve or expand their arts education programs to ensure innovative approaches to engage and re-engage students with school. Resources and tools for building a comprehensive arts education plan to include dropout prevention, student engagement, partnerships with community resources and research can now be accessed in one document. Please visit the CDE Arts Webpage and scroll down to the NEW section, for more details and to access of copy of the guidebook. http://www.cde.state.co.us/otl/Art.htm
