Not only is the annual CAL Conference over, but so is the wonderful year CASL has had with Nancy White and Diane Caro at the lead as our Co-Presidents. This past year has been full of success and accomplishments because of these two wonderfully dedicated leaders. Nancy has opened doors to new opportunities for all school librarians. She created and shared with every Teacher Librarian a wonderful advocacy PowerPoint.  She has propelled her district into the 21st Century and continually reaches out to everyone by sharing her expertise so willingly. And she has worked endlessly to redefine the role of teacher librarians and reeducate teachers, administrators, district personal, and those at the state level, the value we  have in raising student achievement. I admire her, and although I can never fill her shoes, I will endeavor to do so.  I’m also thankful for Diane’s humor and uplifting spirit that carried us through the year!  Her insight at the University level was most helpful and appreciated.   Thank you Diane and Nancy for a wonderful year at CASL!
