$1M to Use For Electronic Databases

On Behalf of Jody Howard —

Colleagues:

Governor Ritter did veto the amendment that cut the funding request we made. That means that we will be given the $1M to use again this year towards electronic databases. This is so great!

Many people have been involved in this process:  The CAL Legislative Committee with the constant support of Jerry Braden and Ruben Valdez; the Colorado Department of Education and the Colorado State Library…..and all of you who have contacted your legislators encouraging them to support these funds. Thank you!

We need to take just a few minutes to thank the Governor for this veto. With the economic conditions the way they are today, this is truly supportive of the work we do with the residents of Colorado.

Here is the Governor’s contact information:
Mail:
Bill Ritter, Governor
136 State Capitol
Denver, CO 80203-1792
Phone:  (303) 866-2471
Fax:  (303) 866-2003

The easiest way, I think, is to access his website and fill out an automatic form. If you access his website at http://www.colorado.gov/governor/there is a form under the “Contact the Governor” portion that will take you just a couple of minutes complete to send him your thank yous.

As you know, we are very fortunate to have this monetary support from the Governor.
Please say thank you!
