ALA Midwinter Conference

The 2009 ALA Midwinter Meeting will be held in Denver, CO from Jan 23–28, 2009

The exhibits will be held at the Colorado Convention Center and the rest of the conference will be taking place at the Hyatt Regency Denver and Sheraton Denver Hotels. This is a wonderful opportunity to attend this conference, right in our own backyard. I hope that will be able to take advantage of this event and attend this conference. What do you think? Will you just visit the vendors for $25? Will you attend for a day or two? Hear some authors? Attend a special event or a pre-conference?

AASL is offering an all day Advocacy Institute with Deb Levitov on Friday January 23rd for $189. This looks like a very valuable way to spend a day. You can register at www.ala.org/midwinter

Have you already registered ? Please let us know if you are planning on attending in January, and what sessions you will be attending.

I will be attending Deb Levitov’s pre-conference Advocacy Institute.

I am also excited to announce that UCD will be offering low cost graduate credit for the session. (1/2 credit for $30.00) The information was posted today on the AASL Conference Website.

  2. University of Colorado Denver will be offering a .5 graduate credit for the AASL Advocacy Institute. Sign up through the http://www.ala.org/midwinter website.
